If you haven’t heard by now, AIA’s Chief Legal Officer Jerry Watson, will be presenting at the upcoming Professional Bondsmen of Texas Conference in Houston April 26th-28th. Jerry’s presentation will be on Friday, April 27th at 10:30 AM on the topic “Commercial Bail: The Wrong Target.” As always with anything that Jerry does, this will be a must see presentation for all bail bondsmen. We hope that everyone signs up and registers for the upcoming conference as soon as possible. Jerry’s presentation is just one of the many valuable and insightful presentations that will comprise this quarterly meeting.
Additionally, Senator Whitmire will be in attendance at the Thursday evening cocktail reception. We invite you all to come out and meet and talk with the Senator. He is the Chairman of the Senate Criminal Justice Committee and a supporter of the bail profession. The PBT urges all Texas bail bondsmen to get involved and come out and support the Senator.
As we have said many times before, we believe that all bail bondsmen in all states should join and support their local associations. They are valuable resources for education, legislation and furthering of the bail profession.
