As a follow up to our Special Issue of Insight on the American Legislative Exchange Council’s (ALEC) recent meeting on Post Conviction Bonds, we are happy to announce that ALEC has included bail bond reform on its 2010 policy agenda. This commitment falls under the group’s Public Safety and Election action item and is focused on “ensuring the public sector does not take over services currently being performed by the private sector.”
