October 22, 2009 – Oklahoma Bondsmen Association

The Oklahoma Bondsmen Association met in mid October for a Board of Director’s Meeting.  The discussions centered around the increase in defendants being released on OR, and the addition of certified law enforcement officers to their Court Services Division (OR/Pretrial Release).  The day before the meeting 13 of 22 defendants had been released on OR.  The organization is planning to introduce legislation to combat these developments.  The Board of Directors will meet in Tulsa on December 18th to present to a group of Judges, the DA’s office and the Sherriff’s office.  To learn more about the Oklahoma Bondsmen Association, call 405-524-5920.
