A new initiative in Colorado has been launched to fight pretrial release by the newly-founded organization, American’s for the Preservation of Bail. This initiative is a citizen-sponsored movement. American’s for the Preservation of Bail is giving the citizens of Colorado the chance to make a statement and be heard. They want their streets to be safe and therefore not release defendants via programs that do not guarantee their appearance in court. This group will work in conjuction with the bail industry.
