Michigan Professional Bail Agents Association (MPBAA) is hosting Mike Donovan from Virginians for the Preservation of Bail at their upcoming meeting on April 20, 2010 at the Holiday Inn in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
This advocacy organization has made great strides for bail professionals in Virginia, including passing a bill that allows bail agents to access a criminal history records database. They have also had success fighting against pretrial release in their state. MPBAA’s meeting objective is to see what ideas they can adopt from this organization to help better the bail industry in Michigan.
