AIA’s Gulf Coast Conference Yields Largest Agent Turnout

May 8, 2009 (Calabasas, CA) – The upcoming AIA Gulf Coast Conference has yielded the largest turnout to any previous conference held by AIA.  Over 300 agents have responded YES, they will be attending the New Orleans event scheduled for Jun 12-14, 2009.  This conference was intended to be a “Special Conference” for the agents in the Gulf Coast who have been affected by hurricanes in recent years.  While the economy has taken center stage, AIA still intends to have a portion of the event  dedicated to giving agents valuable information that could protect their business as well as their family in the event of a disaster.

AIA has made direct access to a FEMA representative available to agents during the conference.  Brad McDannald, Regional Continuity Manager for FEMA will be giving agents information on how to keep their businesses operational during and after a disaster regardless if it should be inclement weather or other disasters such as the recent swine flu, which threatened to be a pandemic.  Additional topics to be covered at the conference are “Ecomonic Survivial in a Tough Economy,” Technology in Bail, Today and the Future,” and “Emerging Risks for Bail Writers.”

Details about the first AIA National Conference scheduled for June 2010 will be coming soon.
