South Carolina Agents Vote Down Acquiring Asssistance from AFPOB

August 12, 2010Posted by Eric Granofin News

In a recent email from Mike Curlee, President of the South Carolina Bail Agents Association, it was announced that the South Carolina Bail Agents Association Board of Directors voted unanimously that they did not need any outside assistance from the Americans for the Preservation of Bail. A copy of the email is included below:

Good Afternoon All,

The SCBAA Board of Directors met yesterday in Columbia with numerous issues on our agenda.

1. At the top of the agenda was acquiring the assistance from the folks who represent ” The Americans for the Preservation of Bail”. The Board voted unanimously that at this time we do not need any outside assistance. We do appreciate their gracious offer but we feel confident that the members of this industry can deal with our own issues within the state of South Carolina.

2) The SCBAA ID card when renewed this year will be for 2 years.

3) Our lobbyist, Daryl Ogburn attended and recommended that we have our new legislation prepared by October 30.

There will be a Board of Directors meeting followed by an association meeting on September 8 to discuss legislation. Time and location to be announced.

Thanks to all for your continued support of the South Carolina Bail Agents Association.

Sincerely,

Michael Curlee
President South Carolina Bail Agents Association
Member PBUS
