Michigan Professional Bail Agents Association met in East Lansing, MI last week. In order to save the association some money, this group gathered at a local restaurant which gave the event a very informal feel and led to a very collaborative discussion surrounding legislation. The discussions included raising premium fees from 10% to 15%, the frequency of the updates to the list of bail agents at the jail to Pre-Trial Services. This association ended their meeting on the importance of unity. Groups that work together can accomplish more than working against each other.
