The Georgia Association of Professional Bondsmen met on November 18th and 19th to discuss a number of timely bail related topics. This included a continuing education program as well as several guest speakers including:

– Dax Langley and Chuck Vickery, How to Play More Golf and Retire in Style
– Judge Ginsberg, Perspective on Criminal Justice Systems
– Jared Skelton, Pre-Trial Release
In addition to the above, our friend at American Surety Company, Mike Whitlock, presented a thorough update on legislation around the country. Additionally, Mr. Whitlock commented on the great legislative success that Georgia has had this past year, including H147/Talton (Electronic Notice), H147 (Deportation/Exoneration) and HB306/Walker (GPS Provider Surety on Bond).
