In June 2009 during the wake of Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Ike, AIA invited FEMA to speak at our Gulf Coast Conference on the importance of having a disaster recovery plan in place for your business. Last month, a couple of our Las Vegas agents had their offices destroyed by a fire, and unfortunately, they did not have a disaster plan in place.
