Back in February, we launched an education campaign to legislators in states with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pretrialtruth.com\" target=\"_blank\">pretrial release<\/a> agencies.  At that time, we partnered with ALEC in sending a letter to 3,200 state legislators, advising them of <a href=\"\/bail\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/alec_mailing.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">ALEC&rsquo;s position on pretrial release<\/a>. We also included a copy of AIA&rsquo;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pretrialtruth.com\" target=\"_blank\">&#8220;Taxpayer Funded Pretrial Release: A Failed System&#8221;<\/a> booklet.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 115%; font-family: arial; font-size: 10pt;\">This week we continue this partnership and have sent another 2,500 letters and booklets, completing the mailing to all pretrial release state legislators, which totals 40 states.
