According to a recent email from Les Sebring, MCBA, Indiana SB 340 passed a third reading in the full house late last night by a whopping 94-0. The original version of SB 340, which initially dealt with parole boards and community corrections, was recently amended to include elements of proposed pro-bail bill, SB 293. The bill is now scheduled to go to a conference committee next week for concurrence. If all goes well, the bill will be reprinted as a “Senate Enrolled Act” and go to the Governor for his signature.
We would like to thank Les for the continuing updates and wish all bail agents in Indiana the best. If you have any questions, or would like additional information on this story, please contact [email protected].
